CUBA STANDARD — State company Cuba Ron S.A. partnered with the Spanish subsidiary of a Dutch brewer in a contest for the best proposal to launch a new beer brand in Cuba.
In a press release, Cuba Ron said that it and Swinkels Family Brewers “announced the creation of a joint beer brand” for the Cuban market.
Asked whether the European company is planning to form a joint venture or make any investments in Cuba, a Swinkels spokeswoman confirmed that Bavaria — its Spanish subsidiary — and Cuba Ron are organizing a brand contest.
