Cuba makes overdue payments to Sherritt

CUBA STANDARD — Sherritt International Corp. said it received a $28 million distribution from its Moa nickel joint venture in Cuba.

The amount included $14 million in dividend for its 50% share in the joint venture and a $14 million payment from its Cuban partner Cubaníquel, to reduce overdue payments from another of Sherritt’s Cuban partners in electricity joint venture Energas.
