New joint venture aims to raise funds for clinical testing

CUBA STANDARD — Cuban state biotech company CIMAB S.A. created a joint venture with a Cuban-controlled Mexican company that plans to attract investors to fund clinical testing of pharmaceutical and biotech products coming through the Cuban development pipeline.

Lack of funding for clinical testing has been a major hurdle for Cuban biotech products in markets abroad.
