U.S. Commerce Department fields Cuba questions from businesses

The Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) has scheduled a monthly call-in program

BIS logoCUBA STANDARD — The Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) has scheduled a monthly call-in program to answer questions about exports to Cuba.

The Obama Administration published eased regulations on Jan. 16. BIS is in charge of overseeing exports to sanctioned countries.

The first program is scheduled for Tuesday, May 12, 2 pm. The next programs are scheduled for June 9, July 7, August 11, and September 8, all at 2 pm.

The call-in number is 1-210-838-9521, or toll free 1-888-889-0538.The participant passcode is ‘CUBA’.
